Desktop Support Technician - Military Veterans

We are seeking motivated, career and customer oriented PC Support Specialists interested in joining our team at Edwards AFB, CA and exploring an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

In this role you will support the provisioning in installation, configuration of personal computer systems.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities

Configures hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with customer/government standards.

Install, configure, PCs and other hardware systems and associated software as necessary.  

Help manage hardware and software assets and help conduct required HW/SW inventories. Support Microsoft applications and workstation clients, database applications, and other user applications installed on the network and computer systems. 

May assist with System Administration functions such as user account maintenance, application and OS patches and updates, antivirus updates, user training, and user support. 

Software licensing requirements and ability to track/maintain software license and installation records.

Ensure compliance with operations and security policies while keeping systems viable and available for authorized users

Skills must include client software installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting. 

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of related experience or equivalent.

Mature, self-starting individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, who is also detail oriented Expertise, training and actual work experience with the specific computer language, systems, and/or technology is significantly more important than the number of years of experience. This is especially true with emerging technologies.

Candidate must possess good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within structured guidelines.

Lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Must have the ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. as necessary to create reports for customers and task lead.

Security+ certification Valid Driver’s License.

DoD Secret/Interim Secret security clearance
